About GayaGaya sings, plays the piano, writes, dances, and acts. Gaya’s music is atmospheric and personal. It stems from her will to express herself. To understand, and to be understood. Her performances are intimate and intense and should be, if for nothing else ‘be appreciated for their sincerity’, as she puts it herself.
Gaya made an appeared on the TV channel The Box in the program Moccah. The episode is still rerun every now and then. It can also be found here. Gaya had her own show in PleinTheater in Amsterdam, "There where I want to be". During this show, next to her songs, she brought some of her poetry and her theatre. A fragment of the evening can be found here. Last December Gaya did the presentation in TROTS, a national streetdance event. She also was a jury member. She has a part in the Dutch TV serie 'EXIT', which has just finfished shooting. In January 2009 she was seen in FLOW, a new serie on the Dutch channel NPS. She also has a part in a new TV movie called 'Mengelmoes'. She has written the soundtrack for it. In February this year she was seen a number of times at Veronica in POWNED, a new Ducth TV channel. Also the music videoclip for her single 'Be that man' came out.
